150 Lb Swordfish landed during late afternoon charter
We left the dock at 1pm out of Boynton Beach Inlet and headed Southeast to the offshore canyons 20 miles away. Choppy seas slowed us down, but we made it to the swordfish canyons around 3pm, and the wind just died and the conditions were perfect. We baited up a bonito strip and dropped it to the bottom in 1500ft of water and immediately hooked a nice fish. After a 20 minute battle we had a fat 72″ broadbill swordfish in the boat! We made 1 more drop on the same spot but never got another bite. We were very happy with our fish in the boat, and we decided to call it a day early. Ran back to the dock by 6pm to fillet the big fish. Another successful swordfish charter in the books! Bring it on 2020!
