Hi this is Captain Chris with your Late Winter 2026 Offshore and inshore fishing report and forecast! First and foremost, sailfish action is hitting its peak, with live bait trips producing multiple opportunities to hook into sailfish on light tackle using kites to suspend our live baits on the surface. Kite fishing is visually exciting as you get to see the bite as it occurs on the surface. While targeting sailfish, we have also been seeing decent numbers of Blackfin Tuna and Mahi Mahi as a by catch. For those who prefer trolling for dinner, wahoo and kingfish have been biting on our deep planer rods about 1 mile off the beach. This is an exciting time of year to go offshore fishing in South Florida as cold fronts bring new fish migrating into our area every week!
On the inshore fishing front, action has been non stop with Spanish mackerel, bluefish, and jack crevalle along the intracoastal waterway! These inshore trips are awesome for when the ocean is rough or if we are entertaining groups of kids or newcomers who want lots of action! We expect the inshore fishing charters to continue to produce great numbers of fish before and after the cold fronts. Let me know if you want to get out there, thanks!
